Official Ledger Live Desktop client for managing Ledger hardware wallets. Desktop builds provide the fullest feature set and stronger privacy controls than web flows. Always download from official sources and verify installers before running them.
Local data & privacy
Portfolio data is stored locally by default; desktop is recommended for privacy-conscious users.
Device management
Manage firmware, passphrase settings, and multiple accounts from a single interface.
Export & reporting
Export CSVs for taxes, bookkeeping and audits with full transaction history.
Verification guidance
After downloading a desktop installer, compare the file's checksum (SHA-256 or SHA-512) with the official hash published on Ledger's website. On Linux/macOS use sha256sum
/ shasum -a 512
, on Windows use CertUtil -hashfile <file> SHA256
. If Ledger publishes a signature, verify it with PGP keys as instructed on the official site.
Never install binaries from forum links or third-party mirrors. Ledger will never ask for your 24-word recovery seed — if prompted, treat it as a scam.
